GASC JUNIOR BIATHLON 2008
Glossop ASC are hoping to run a Junior Biathlon in late June, early July one late Saturday afternoon
It will be a timed event over 16 lengths of the pool and one circuit of Howard park. All competitors will receive a certificate with male and female winners in the junior and senior category receiving a trophy.
Rules:
1) Only 80 competitors can be accommodated
2) First preference will be given to Glossop ASC members then other ASA registered members
3) Open to male and female swimmers aged 10 to 18 on the day of the event and who can complete 16 lengths of the pool
4) Entry fee to be agreed but likely to be around £3 per head

Glossop ASC need at least 18 volunteers sometime in late June, early July one late Saturday afternoon for approximately 1.5 hours to supervise the above Junior Biatholon
The roles required are
Poolside marshals, to set the swimmers off and count the 16 lengths
Transition area marshals, to supervise the swimmers putting on shoes etc
Circuit marshals, to monitor those competitors complete the correct course
Finish marshals, to monitor the finish
